$2.6 billion to acquire analytics startup Looker.
Looker has raised over $280 million to date.
Looker is a unified platform for business intelligence,
data applications, and embedded analytics.
The $2.6 billion all-cash transaction
will see Looker join Google Cloud.

Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google, said:
“One of the most important ways we advance Google’s mission is
by helping other businesses realize theirs.”
Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud,
believes that this development will
“enable customers to harness data in new ways to drive their digital transformation.”
Looker’s website also confirmed the development.
While the deal is subject to regulatory approval,
we expect it to realize any time this year.
