What’s this app anyways?
Today, Facebook announced a new
market research app called Study.
How does it work?
You will start seeing ads encouraging you
to participate in Facebook’s market research program.
Once you click on the ad, you can register.
And if you qualify, you will receive an invitation
to download the Study app from the Play Store.
Once in, you will get more information on how the app works.
Facebook will also notify users on the
type of information it will collect.
And how it plans on using that data.
The program is available to users who are 18 and older.
You can opt out at any time you like.

Facebook says it will collect information such as:
- Apps on the user’s phone
- Time spent on apps
- Location (Country), device and network type
- App activity names
Facebook has mentioned that it will not collect
user IDs, passwords, or any of the user’s content,
such as photos, videos, or messages.
Study app will roll out first in the US and India.
